While I have never reached the summit of any mountain before, I’ve been lucky to have seen beautiful landscapes of mountains in my life. A huge chunk of which were seen from my country, the Philippines. There were the rice terraces in Ifugao, where rice paddies were created along the slopes of the mountain. There’s the Mt. Mayon in Bicol, a volcano that spits its lava evenly so as to render a perfect cone. There’s the limestone formation along the sides of the mountain in Palawan, creating an enigmatic feel to an otherwise common landscape.
There were also chances of taking in breathtaking views of mountains abroad. The most gigantic of which is the majestic Mt. Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia, the highest mountain in Southeast Asia. There’s the wonderful landscape of mountains while riding the cable car in Ngong Ping 360 in Hong Kong. There’s also the vast array of mountains outlined by the Great Wall in Beijing, China.
