“All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.” – Martin Buber
Perhaps one of the perks of living in an archipelago is being surrounded by beautiful, unspoiled beaches. I have been blessed to have visited some of the Philippines’ best beaches (though I still have to visit the world famous Boracay!), so I am excited to showcase my country’s stunning sea landscapes for this week’s challenge. Here they are:

Big Lagoon in El Nido

Seven Commandos Beach

Our guide playing at sea!

Boats ready for the tourists in El Nido

Fresh catch sold by the sea in El Nido

Surfing in Baler, Aurora (credits to Aiza Buenaventura)

Just before the sun went down in Siquijor

Paradise in Siquijor

Hello, whale shark! A meetup in Oslob

Another wonderful adventure!
I like the soft sound of waves against the sand as I relax and breathe the freshest air. Despite my fear of getting drowned, I love going out on an adventure at sea — whether it be riding the waves or swimming with the whale sharks or simply snorkeling. The sea was never my best friend, but it’s one thing that never ceased to amaze me.

Here’s to wishing for a very good September, everyone! Happy travels! 🙂
